I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate your incredible support of Utah State University Eastern. As my time as Chancellor draws to a close, I am reminded just how fortunate I am to have served with our outstanding community members, alumni, friends, and family. It has been a distinct honor to see our campus grow, new programs launch, scholarships and endowments increase, and our degree offerings expand. Together, we have opened a world of opportunity for our students.

I am continually amazed at the generosity of our alumni, friends, and family. Thank you for embracing the power and responsibility to change lives for the better. Not only does your investment provide talented students with the scholarships they need to come to USU Eastern, but it also gives them the opportunity to discover futures that only a formal education can bring.

Students at USU Eastern are fortunate to enter a small classroom environment where professors know them by name. As students participate in this intimate setting, they gain new confidence and form perspectives and relationships that help launch their careers. Our students volunteer their service through the SUN Center, compete in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, serve in student leadership, write for the university newspaper, intern with local businesses, battle in state and national events, and so much more. After a few semesters on the Eastern campus, our students are truly transformed, with self-assurance and new abilities.

I am very proud of our hard working students! But we could not guide students through transformations without your help. Thank you for choosing to make a positive difference across our campus. Because of your example, a future generation is being taught the importance of hard work, giving back, and becoming a part of something bigger than themselves. Won’t you please join me in making a gift this spring to Utah State University Eastern to support our students today and for generations to come?

Thank you so much for everything you have done to make my tenure at USU Eastern such a joy!

Joe Peterson

“The biggest thing that I have learned from this program, is learning how to learn. These instructors definitely teach a one-of-a-kind program. Besides making great welders, the instructors develop character here.”
