Pre-Health Canvas Resources - Six Career Paths
Non-graded Canvas resources provide students with on-demand access to resources, planning tools, and professional development content that support successful preparation for healthcare professional programs. Students are welcome to join any and all courses that align with their goals, and you may leave at any time. Meet with an Advisor
Appointments with Peer Advisors and Health Professions/Pre-Health Advisors are available by Zoom, phone, or in-person. Simply choose your preferred meeting option when you set up your appointment. If you are interested in a field not listed here, please contact an Exploratory Advisor to learn more about prerequisites, earning an Associate's degree, or transferring universities.
Pre-Health Exploratory & Peer Advisor
First time visitors, freshman, and exploratory students of all health professions will learn how to:
- Navigate the general preparation needed for health-related graduate programs
- Brainstorm ideas for extracurricular involvement
- Create a Degree Works plan with prerequisite courses that match your goals
Health Professions & Pre-Health Advisors
Following the first visit, students will meet regularly with the Health Professions/Pre-Health Advisor to gain insight and understanding of what it takes to build a competitive application, including:
- Extracurricular development and strategies
- Guidance through the application process timeline, and strategies for success
- Providing feedback on personal statement and application experiences
- Staging mock interviews
Regular visits will ensure you are a well-prepared and competitive applicant!
