Is my gift tax-deductible?

All charitable contributions go through Utah State University Foundation, a duly qualified charitable organization under section 501 (c) (3).

Will I receive a gift receipt for my contribution?

All charitable contributions received will generate a gift receipt issued by the USU Advancement Office that substantiate a donor’s charitable contribution that can then be used for tax purposes.

Is my gift eligible for employer/corporate matching?

Absolutely. If you are affiliated with a company that matches gifts, you an double or perhaps triple the value of your gift to Utah State University. Many companies will also match gifts made by employee spouses or retirees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, visit usu.edu/matchinggifts.

Is my contribution amount and name publically displayed?

Unless you choose to give anonymously, your gift amount and first name is automatically uploaded to our donor wall.

What happens to funds raised if the project does not meet its goal or exceeds its goal?

100% of the funds raised will go toward the project’s needs. If the goal is not met, all funds will still go towards the project as a whole. If a project is fortunate enough to exceed the fundraising goal, all funds go directly towards the project to help reach stretch goals.
