Bison Paddles

Friends Collin Peterson and Daniel Warren were playing pickleball at the Aggie Recreation Center (ARC) as undergrads when the wooden paddles they were using fell apart. By then, the two entrepreneurs had fallen in love with the sport. While looking for replacement paddles, there weren’t any options that looked good and were high quality and affordable for beginners — especially not on a college student’s budget. So they decided to make their own and founded Bison Paddles in 2020. Strong as their namesake, Bison Paddles are built to last.

Bison Paddles are currently in the process to be USA Pickleball Association-certified. In the first year since its inception, the company has doubled its sales, and the paddles are even available through Amazon.

Collin Peterson & Daniel Warren

Collin Peterson comes from a proud family of Blue-Blooded Aggies, and he always looked forward to continuing the tradition. Originally from Vernal, Utah, he moved to Logan in 2017 to attend Utah State University, where he met his business partner Daniel Warren. Daniel moved to Logan in 2018 from Spanish Fork, Utah. He always knew he wanted to study business, but fell in love with USU when he toured campus for the first time. Both Collin and Daniel studied in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business and pursued a dual major of Business Administration and Marketing. Collin graduated from in 2021, and Daniel will follow in 2022. Collin and Daniel are excited that their company grew from a mutual love of pickleball, blending their passions with their careers. They even hope to one day break the current world record for longest pickleball game — 24 hours — in the near future. They still live in Logan, where they have seen outstanding community support as they work to grow their business.
