Shake that Cake is a unique dessert business that combines two classic treats to create the ‘cake-shake.’ Bethany and Isaac Dixon started their business in 2022 with some help from a generous grandpa. The Utah State University alumni built Shake that Cake — including the trailer they used as a food truck — from scratch. Inspired by a past job that Bethany had, they created a recipe for the ‘Cake-Shake,’ which essentially paired cake and ice cream to create the ultimate combo in one dessert.
The two have said their number one goal is making customers happy — the fact that it’s by selling them delicious shakes is an added bonus. The first brick-and-mortar Shake that Cake location is opening up in North Logan, Utah, this spring, and the Cache Valley couple hope to grow it much further.

Bethany and Isaac Dixon are a young married couple living in Cache Valley. Both will graduate from Utah State University this spring.
