Wolf Paw Soap

Aaron Rice has always loved animals. In fact, that’s why Wolf Paw Soap exists — he was looking for a way to both fuel his artistic side while earning money to pay for school. The profits help him achieve his dream of becoming a veterinarian, which is so intensive, it’s hard to find time for a regular part-time job. But carving out an hour or two to make soap — and get a study break in the process — led to Wolf Paw Soap.

After making and selling his first batch of soap, Aaron was hooked. The artisan cold process soaps have high quality ingredients, like goat’s milk, that are nourishing and create a fantastic bar. Plus, Aaron is able to get creative with the colors and scents so there’s something for everyone at Wolf Paw Soap.

Now, he’s grown his offerings to even include lotion, shampoo and conditioner, and bath bombs, as well as custom orders.

Ever since he was a kid, Aaron Rice has wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up. Now, he’s pursuing that dream. The West Jordan native received his undergrad in bioveterinary science at Utah State University and is pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree through the USU-partnered Washington-Idaho-Montana-Utah (WIMU) Regional Program.

His love for animals is seen in every aspect of his life, from his care of Maisy — his guinea pig — to the name of his artisan soap business: Wolf Paw Soap. When he’s not creating new batches of products or studying, he loves other artistic outlets, like painting and tie dying, as well as spending time with family and friends — and he’s always a fan of playing board games.
