Silicon Slopes Tech Summit

The Silicon Slopes Tech Summit is a globally recognized two-day summit organized and hosted by the Silicon Slopes organization and community. The Summit is one of the largest and most prominent annual tech events in the world, bringing out more than 20,000 attendees.

Silicon Slopes Tech Summit features prominent keynotes, premium breakout sessions, breathtaking entertainment, unbelievable parties, incredible networking opportunities, and an exclusive screening of a film from the Sundance Film Festival. The amount of talent and experience that’s on display makes this a unique event that could only happen in Silicon Slopes.

Self Advocate Training for Disability Advocacy Day

Workshop/Training

Are you a person with a disability who would like to learn how to work with lawmakers to make Utah a better place to live? The Utah Developmental Disabilities Council, along with the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University and the Utah Parent Center are hosting a Self-Advocacy Training at Disability Advocacy Day, January 30, 2020. The event will focus on ways to tell your story and how to share ideas to make life better for people with disabilities living in Utah.

This event is free, but you do need to register to attend. Email Council Staff at uddc@utah.gov to register.

David C. Roskelley Private Forum with the Covey Leadership Fellows

This is a private leadership forum with David C. Roskelley for only Covey Leadership Fellows (CLF). CLF members have a unique opportunity to sit down with David in a private forum to learn about how to elevate your leadership and participate in a special Q/A session. Join CLF.

David Roskelley is an avid mountain climber. He has climbed the "7 Summits," or the highest mountain on each continent, and the "7 Volcanic Summits," the highest volcano on each continent. David's next goal is to be the first person to climb the highest mountain on the moon.

David Roskelley is also the founding partner at engineering-consulting service R&R Environmental, Inc. The firm serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. David has a Masters degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Utah/Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) and currently teaches as an adjunct faculty member. David is currently serving as Past Chair of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) and has previously served on the AIHA Board as a Director.
