Paper & Clay is a national juried exhibition open to all BFA & MFA printmaking and ceramic students from across the country. This year’s exhibition showcases 63 exceptional contemporary student works from 25 various academic institutions. This year’s juror is ceramic artist, Kelli Sinner.

Every Body Rocks: Nutrition Series

Workshop/Training

February is National Eating Disorder Awareness month and to bring more awareness to this issue, we will be teaching Every Body Rocks classes (from the curriculum designed by Brooke Parker, RD). This is a series of classes promoting Intuitive Eating and positive body image. There will be 4 classes taught by senior USU Dietetic students. It is recommended that you come to all four classes as they will all have different content but you can attend just one class also. The curriculum is geared towards female students, however, there is something for everyone to learn from these classes so please join us! Register at recportal.usu.edu.

Earthquake Engineering with Dr. Brady Cox

Lecture/Readings

Dr. Brady Cox is a professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Utah State University. He specializes in earthquake engineering and has been a part of earthquake reconnaissance teams deployed around the world to study large and damaging earthquakes. He will discuss how studying at USU launched his earthquake engineering career and ultimately led to him to the White House where he received an award from the President of the United States. Food will be provided at this event.

Entrepreneur Leadership Series: Andrew Daines

This week’s speaker is Andrew Daines, who in 2019 Andrew launched Chassie, which designs, makes, and sells artistic furniture out of an 8,000 sq. ft. facility in the Bronx. As the world of work evolves, Chassie focuses on home and office desks that meet the new needs of a flexible workforce. After just two years Chassie has designed and built its unique style of furniture for hundreds of consumers and companies from Adobe to Warby Parker to Google.

The Aggie Music Project consists of USU Music Department faculty Jon Gudmundson (sax), Greg Wheeler (sax), Max Matzen (trumpet), Corey Christiansen (guitar), Ryan Conger (keyboard), Braun Khan (bass), and Jason Nicholson (drums).
