Upon submitting a background check, every childcare provider working in a licensed childcare program will need to complete a fingerprinting scan.
At CAC-USU we have free fingerprinting services for all childcare providers in the Cache, Rich and Box Elder Counties.

Scheduling an appointment

Before we can schedule your appointment, please fill out your background check form.

Fingerprinting at Care About Childcare is done by appointment only.
To schedule an appointment, or if you have any questions about the fingerprinting process, please contact us at 435-797-1552 or childcare.help@usu.edu.

After calling to schedule the appointment, an email from our office will be sent with the scheduled appointment time, more information on how to locate our office, a reminder to bring a valid of form of ID (Drivers license or passport), and a link to fill out a fingerprint processing form. If a provider does not have access to a printer, then the fingerprint processing forms will be provided on site during the appointment.

Times offered for fingerprinting: 
Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Fridays from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM

We will schedule evening appointments to accomodate those who cannot make earlier appointments. The times will only be scheduled between 5:00pm and 7:30pm on the first Thursday of each month. These will be the only days we will schedule into the evening.

Your appointment

Please bring a government-issued picture ID such as a Driver’s license, passport, or military ID to your appointment.  Unfortunately, we cannot complete your appointment without ID. 

Please print out and completely fill out a Fingerprint Processing Form and bring it to your appointment. If you are unable to print this form then one will be provided to you at the appointment.

Each fingerprinting appointment typically takes 10-20 minutes. If you are more than five minutes late for your appointment or do not have proper ID we will have to reschedule your appointment. If you are feeling sick the day of your appointment, please reschedule your appointment for a later date. If you are unable to make your appoinment for any other reason then please contact us in advance to reschedule or cancel your appointment. 

Care About Childcare (CAC) is in the USU Family Life Center building. Our street address is 493 North 700 East in Logan at the bottom of Old Main Hill. We have parking available on the south side of our building.  Please Park in one of the two parking stalls labeled “Reserved Care About Childcare”.
