Bio
Dr. Ashley Yaugher is a health and wellness assistant professor of professional practice with USU Extension. She is a Health Extension: Advocacy, Research & Teaching (HEART) Initiative faculty member, serving the state as well as Carbon and Emery Counties; focusing on the opioid epidemic these communities are facing. Dr. Yaugher earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is passionate about mental health and wellness, enjoys community outreach and collaboration, and has a love of both teaching and research. Her main areas of research and programming interests are opioid use disorder treatment, prevention, and recovery; stigma reduction; and rural health.
