Award Title
Affordability Grant
Value
$250 for Fall 2026 for all eligible students.
Eligibility
- To qualify for this grant, students must:
- Be First-time undergraduate students (first-year or transfer)
- Attend a Next Step Night and complete Orientation Module #1 and a budget with the Student Money Management Center during the event.
Conditions
- This grant is available at all of the USU campuses (Logan, Statewide, and Southeast)
- This grant will pay towards Student Body Fees or Aggie Access (USU's textbook program). This grant will not refund should all other costs be covered.
Award Retention Requirements
- This grant is available for 1 semester and is nonrenewable.
Accepting Your Award
- This grant is automatically accepted upon enrollment confirmation. The deadline to accept this award is May 1, 2026.
Declining Your Award
- If you confirm your enrollment to USU but prefer to decline your grant, email Student Financial Support.
Deferral and Notification of Leave
- This grant cannot be held or deferred for a future academic year.
Terms of Award
Student is either a US citizen, permanent resident of the United States, or naturalized citizen of the United States. Students eligible for a Nonresident Tuition Waiver are also eligible for this award.
Any unpaid expenses may result in the loss of their classes. Review payment deadlines.
This grant may be revoked should the student attend another institution of higher education. The student is able to attend another institution of higher education during the summer semester, but attending during the normal academic year (fall/spring) may result in the cancellation of this award.
