Award Title
Aggie Advantage Grant
Value
Up to $1,000 for one year. $500 for Fall 2026 for all eligible students. An aditional $500 for Spring 2027 for students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 8,000 or less. \
Eligibility
First-time undergraduate students (including first-year & transfer students)
Conditions
- This grant is available at all of the USU campuses (Logan, Statewide, and Southeast)
- As a 'cash' award, it will pay toward on-campus expenses first. If all charges are paid in full with other funding, this award will refund the first week of school.
Award Retention Requirements
- This grant is available for 1 year (two semesters) and is nonrenewable.
- You must earn a 2.0 GPA or above to be eligible for the spring award.
Accepting Your Award
- This grant is automatically accepted upon enrollment confirmation. To receive the award, students must be registered as a full-time student (12+ credits) by 3rd week (add/drop deadline) of fall and spring semester. Enrolling below full-time status will cancel the award.
Declining Your Award
- If you confirm your enrollment to USU but prefer to decline your grant, email Student Financial Support.
Deferral and Notification of Leave
- This grant cannot be held or deferred for a future academic year.
Terms of Award
Student is either a US citizen, permanent resident of the United States, or naturalized citizen of the United States. Students eligible for a Nonresident Tuition Waiver are also eligible for this award.
The grant is applied in consecutive semesters (excluding summer semester) beginning the first term of enrollment at USU.
Any unpaid expenses may result in the loss of their classes. Review payment deadlines.
Tuition can only be covered once. If the student has been offered tuition-based academic scholarships or waivers covering in total more than 100% tuition, they will contact Student Financial Support to discuss their options.
This grant may be revoked should the student attend another institution of higher education. The student is able to attend another institution of higher education during the summer semester, but attending during the normal academic year (fall/spring) may result in the cancellation of this award.
