World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. A variety of activities are planned for employees and students across USU campuses. Find something for everyone as we increase our mental health and well-being This is an open house style event.

Keynote Speaker

Chari Hawkins, “Heart of A Champion” – Chari is a USU Alum and participated in Track and Field for the Aggies and most recently competed in the Heptathlon of the 2024 Paris Olympics. In her presentation she will recount the heartbreak she experienced at the Olympics and how her daily resilience training helped her to grow through that trial and ultimately, continue showing up as her best self each day.

Stress Management and Self-Care Workshop – Recorded CAPS Workshops

This workshop is presented by Justin Barker, Licensed Psychologist, with Counseling and Psychological Services. Attendees will learn about stress and burnout, as well as real life, easy to use techniques to manage stress, reduce burnout and improve self-care. This workshop will not be recorded, however, additional recordings are available online.
