Local Internships

Local Internships

The Utah State Legislature offers full-time internship positions each general session. Students are employed by the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel and are assigned to one or more legislators during the general session.

National Internships

National Internships

National internships provide unique opportunities for students to participate in the political process, and gain a deeper understanding for government institutions and develop skills that set them apart and prepare them for a career.

USU’s Institute of Government & Politics (IOGP)  connects students with internships and produces events for students, faculty, staff, and community to learn more about government, politics, and public policy. The IOGP is non-partisan and does not endorse any political party, candidate, or particular policy position.
