Each internship's associated finances will be unique. Students should be aware of what expenses they are responsible for. Expenses
Travel
Interns are responsible for all travel expenses including getting to and returning from their internship. This also includes any necessary flights or other transportation. For more information on flights and travel tips, see the Travel & Safety page.
Housing
Interns are responsible for housing expenses for the duration of the internship. Some internships have predetermined housing locations for interns, but many do not. Students are responsible to find housing in such cases. The institute can put you in contact with previous interns to help students find accomodations.
Food
Food expenses are often overlooked but can be a significant. Students should be sure to budget food expenses when considering an internship.
Transportation
Interns are typically responsible for daily transportation from their residence to work.
Leisure
Internships are excellent opportunities to experience different locations across the United States. Students are responsible for any extra trips and leisure activities while not working.
