Description
An internship at the European Union Office of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brussels, Belgium, will give you the unique opportunity to improve upon your international relations, international law, human rights, public relations and communication skills, depending on the internship. The core purpose of the EU Office is to support the global and European government relations affairs of the Church, focusing on issues related to faith, family and freedom of religion and belief. As such you may be involved in a variety of tasks in order to assist the mission of the Church with the EU institutions such as attending meetings and conferences, write reports, monitor key issues, establish connections with EU officials, organizing events, daily communication with internal and external audiences, etc. The EU Office offers two non-remunerated internship positions:
• Parliamentary assistance intern
• Communications intern
Requirements
- Applicants must be members of the Church and worthy temple recommend holders
- Able to commit for an internship of 89 days
- Written and oral proficiency in English. Knowledge of French, Dutch or any other language is an asset, but is not required
- Self-starter, reliable and enthusiastic attitude
Parliamentary Assistance Intern: Undergraduate or graduate student with a demonstrated background and interest in International Affairs, Political Science, International Law, Human Rights, Public Policy, and/or International Development. Strong research, writing and communication skills.
Communications Intern: Undergraduate or graduate student with a demonstrated background and interest in International Affairs, Political Science, International Law, Human Rights, Public Policy, and/or International Development. Strong communications, writing, social media savvy. Photography and videomaking skills are a plus.

- Must be a student in good academic standing
- Must enroll in 3-12 IOGP course credits
