Biography

Es Barnes (they/she), is thrilled to be making their Lyric Rep debut this summer as an actor and assistant director. Finishing up her third year at Utah State University in the BFA Acting Program, you might recognize Es from their roles in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime as Judy, Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really as Renfield, The Wickhams, Christmas at Pemberley, as Cassie, or, most recently, The Merry Wives of Windsor, as Mistress Quickly. They are also in the midst of earning minors in American Sign Language and Disability Studies and a certificate of Inclusive Leadership, all of which are pointing her towards her future career, focusing on making accessible theatre. Es also served as President of the Theater Student Association, worked as a Peer Mentor for Aggies Elevated, and is an active member of USU Student Leadership.
