Bruce L. Duerden

Biography

Professor of Theatre at Utah State University (USU) for the past 33 years and 32 years with the Lyric Repertory Company. Prior to USU Bruce was a lecturer at Brigham Young University then an assistant professor at Texas A&M. In 2017 he was advanced to full professor in the Caine College of the Arts at USU. During his career, he has designed, and served as technical director for numerous professional and education productions in Utah, Off Broadway NY, Hawaii, Wyoming, New Jersey, California and Wisconsin. Recent work includes: Directing: Cyrano, Once on this Island. Lighting Design for: A Christmas Carol. Set Design: Cyrano. Now currently serving as a Visiting Professor of Theatre at Brigham Young University Hawaii.
