Britannia Howe

Biography

Britannia Howe is a stage director and teaching artist with an MFA in Stage Directing from Illinois State University and undergraduate degrees in Acting and Theatre Education from Southern Utah University. In 2011, she was awarded the prestigious Kennedy Center National Directing Fellowship. Her directing work spans regional theaters, festivals, and universities, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Southern Utah University, Utah State University, and Nomad Theatre Company to name a few. As co-founder of Women of Will, she has championed opportunities for women artists through classical texts. In addition to directing, Britannia has written original shows for the Utah Shakespeare Festival and Utah Symphony. Her work is driven by curiosity, innovation, and collaboration, rooted in the belief that humor through storytelling can connect audiences in meaningful ways.
