Biography
Joshua is a video artist and designer of projections and lighting for theatre, film, and installations. Theatre work includes collaborations with numerous institutions including Galumpha Dance Company, Theatre22, The Village Theatre, Khunum Productions, The Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts, Utah Lyric Theatre, and many more. He received his MFA from the University of Washington with a specialization in Lighting and Projection Design, and has lectured at Central Washington University, Yakima Valley Community College, Flathead Valley Community College, Colorado Mesa University, Colorado State University, and The Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Joshua an Assistant Professor of Design at Utah State University's Department of Theater Arts where he is teaching and mentoring in Lighting and Projection Design, and will be taking over as the Head of the Graduate Design Program in Fall of 2026. Joshua was raised in Kalispell, Montana where he grew up hiking, camping, and producing theatre with a family that is heavily involved in educational and community theatre. When he is not busy putting up a show, Joshua can usually be found fishing or wandering in the woods with his partner and dog.
