Maren Lyman

Biography

This is Maren’s 9th season at the Lyric Rep. Her 5th as Costume Shop Manager and 2nd season designing. A Cache Valley native, Maren has been involved with the local theatre scene, designing numerous community shows and teaching workshops to local theatre students, as well as mentoring students at USU. Maren completed her BFA in Costume Design at USU and her MFA in Costume Design at San Diego State University.

Some of her favorite designs include Big River for the Lyric Rep 50th anniversary. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Fiddler on the Roof, and Guys and Dolls for Music Theatre West. Aida with Green Canyon High School, and her award-winning designs for Lysistrata and the completely orange show OPQRS, Etc. As new members, Maren and her husband are learning the ropes of the Empty Nester’s Club. She enjoys sewing, tap dancing and traveling.
