Lizzy Prettyman

Biography

Lizzy Prettyman graduated from Utah State University with a Master's of Music (2016) and a Bachelor's of Music (2014), both with an emphasis in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.  She is currently an adjunct faculty member and collaborative artist at USU and began music directing in 2022. She lives in Logan with her husband and three children.

Lizzy has an extensive performance background appearing at venues across the state such as Abravanel Hall and Temple Square, on Utah Public Radio, the CD A Cold Winters Night, and has had the privilege of performing world premieres of multiple works, such as the opera Uncovered (2021) and new work Elemental Discourses for piano and violin (2023).

She loves teaching one-on-one piano lessons, collaborating with ensembles and soloists of all kinds, and of course, working as a music director, rehearsal pianist, and pit musician!
