Course Description
Terminology: In this class, Part refers to the five major divisions of the class, each of which covers large issues relating to history such as "Documentary Evidence" and "History and Society." Section refers to one of fifteen minor divisions within the class, each treating a specific historical topic such as "Women and Historical Biography" and "The Nature and Triumph of Islam." Each Part includes three Sections and culminates in an In-Class Discussion and an Assessment. Each Section has a Chapter (or Reading). Caveant Studentes! All of this is subject to change. Students are responsible for incorporating into this syllabus all alterations in scheduling, deadlines and assignments announced in class or posted electronically. The instructor reserves the right to resolve at his own discretion any inconsistencies or conflicting statements in course materials. |
