The two 737 flight simulators mean students in USU's professional pilot program are practicing their skills in all kinds of weather and navigating takeoffs and landings at any major airport, all without leaving the Logan campus.
These simulators were acquired by USU’s aviation technology program. The aviation technology program within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources offers three bachelors of science degrees through the program:
- Professional Pilot for fixed wing and rotorcraft (helicopters)
- Maintenance Management
- Aviation Management with an emphasis in Unmanned Aerial Systems or Airport Operations
The aviation faculty have a goal to make the aviation program the best in the country. By giving students access to airline-grade equipment and immersive training experiences, the program ensures graduates enter the industry with confidence, professionalism, and hands-on experience to set themselves apart.
