About the Miss Native American Pageant
The Miss Native American USU Pageant is an annual celebration for Native American Women that attend Utah State University. Miss Native American USU is an ambassador that represents herself, her family, her Tribal Nation, the USU Native American Student Council (NASC), the newly formed USU Proposed Native American Cultural Center, and Utah State University. Miss Native American USU’s Responsibilities include:
- Acting as Head Woman during the 47th USU Annual Echoing Traditional Ways Pow Wow
- Representing NASC and USU at three additional Pow Wows
- Leading the Native American Student Council in the USU Homecoming Parade
- Attending all major Native American Heritage Month Activities at USU Logan Main Campus
- Completing 25 hours of service
- Serving as a member of the NASC Executive Council
- Planning the following Miss Native American USU
