Thank you for using our Canvas-IDEA assignment tool. If you see your section below, you have successfully requested the creation of an assignment in Canvas for your IDEA Evaluation.
Points are awarded automatically in Canvas at the end of the semester if students have completed the IDEA SRI for that course. This form does not create an assignment in Canvas or award points until after the IDEA administrations end for every USU course, which may be as late as the last day of the semester (i.e., finals week). Students should complete the IDEA SRI by logging in at usu.campuslabs.com/eval-home/.
Update for Spring 2026: Although we provided exceptions in previous terms, we can no longer accommodate first 7-week session courses in this request form, as the process is run at the end of the 14-week semester. Please note, we are working to update this process so it may look different in future semesters.
Important: If you use weighted assignment groups for your grading, please do not use the Canvas Assignment Request Form. Creating an assignment through this form will not place them in the intended group and may interfere with weighted grading calculations.
