A Payment Plan allows students to pay their balance throughout the semester in monthly installments. Payment plans include tuition, student body fees, class fees, single housing and meal plans if applicable.
Cost to Enroll
The cost to enroll is a $50 non-refundable fee.
Benefits for Students Enrolled in a Payment Plan
- Monthly payments spread over the semester.
- Won’t be dropped from classes on the Tuition and Fee payment deadline.
- Students enrolled in a payment plan are not subject to late fees for unpaid tuition.

- Payments can be made with a checking account, savings account, credit card, or debit card. A 2.95% credit card processing fee applies when paying by credit or debit card. We recommend using a checking or savings account to avoid this fee.
In-Person or by Mail
- Pay with cash or check at the Registrar’s Office, TSC 248. The Office of the Registrar cannot accept credit or debit cards.
- Mail a check to Utah State University, Registrar’s Office, 1600 Old Main Hill, Logan, UT 84322. Include the student name and A-number on the check.

Family housing and Health and Wellness Center charges are not covered.
All enrolled students with at least $250.00 in charges are eligible to enroll in a payment plan.
You can enroll in a payment plan as soon as charges appear on your student account and the enrollment period begins. You must enroll by the tuition payment deadline to avoid late fees or account holds. While classes are no longer dropped for nonpayment, failure to pay may result in registration holds, transcript restrictions, or other account impacts. Students enrolled in a payment plan remain in good standing as long as payments are made on time.
Your payments will be calculated by taking your account balance, less any financial aid, scholarship, award, or waiver, divided by the number of payments in the payment plan.
Yes. Your payment amount may change if your account balance changes — for example, if you add or drop a class, or if you receive aid such as grants, scholarships, financial aid, or waivers after enrolling. An email from TouchNet will notify you of any changes to your payment schedule.
Yes. Payments can be made manually on the due date each month, or you can sign up for automatic payments when enrolling. Automatic payments can be scheduled from a checking account, savings account, credit card, or debit card. A 2.95% credit card processing fee will apply if paying by credit or debit card.
If your payment is returned due to insufficient funds, the payment will be reversed and a $20.00 return check fee will be assessed to your student account. You will receive an email notification from the Bursar’s Office. If the return is due to an incorrect or invalid account number, the payment will be reversed and a $10.00 return check fee will be assessed.
A $25.00 late fee will be assessed to your student account.
No. The payment plan due dates are set and cannot be changed.
The aviation payment plan is restricted to students in the Aviation Program and for aviation flight fees only.
