where he has been a member of the faculty since 2014. He received his Ph.D. in
Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the supervision of
Isadore M. Singer, following earlier degrees in physics and mathematics from the University
of Bonn. His research lies at the intersection of algebraic geometry and mathematical
physics, with a focus on K3 and Calabi–Yau varieties, modular forms, and string dualities.
He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications, including nine with undergraduate
and graduate student coauthors, and has held visiting appointments at institutions such
as the Isaac Newton Institute at Cambridge University (UK), the Institute for Computational
and Experimental Research in Mathematics at Brown University, and the Fields
