The Aggie Ventures Initiative

Where big ideas and bold collaborations come to life at Utah State

We connect students, faculty, and departments to create innovative experiences—both in the classroom and beyond—that make learning hands-on, meaningful, and impactful.

This could change the way we do things here...and at other universities too!

Education Done Real

The Aggie Ventures Initiative (TAVI) builds collaborative networks at USU to facilitate real-world experiences in the classroom. We help faculty and students with great ideas connect so that:

  1. Students gain real-world skills and experience.
  2. Students work with each other on meaningful projects across classes and disciplines.
  3. Dedicated faculty provide guidance and mentorship.

TAVI-facilitated projects allow students to work in an environment where their skill sets complement those of others to build something meaningful, just like the real world! This is not only education done right. It is education done real!

Enabling Collaboration in Learning

It might come as a surprise, but finding the right people to collaborate with on campus can be incredibly challenging. With so much happening across USU, it’s hard to even know where to start when you have a great idea. Departments and individuals often work in silos, unaware of others who share their goals or could bring valuable support. TAVI exists to break down those barriers and make collaboration across campus simple, fast, and rewarding. Whether you're launching a new program, designing a cross-course project, or working on something exciting outside the classroom, TAVI connects you with the right people and resources to bring your ideas to life—so you can focus on executing your vision instead of searching for someone to help make it happen.

Can I Get Involved?

Of course! In order for TAVI to work, we need three things. First, we need to know what's going on in all corners of campus. Second, we need to hear about ideas for building something great. And third, we need students and faculty who are excited to build something amazing! If you bring any of these three things to the table, then we need you to be part of TAVI!
