Utah State University Extension is sponsoring Baby Animal Adventures April 24-25 at the USU Bastian Agricultural Center in South Jordan.
The event provides visitors with the opportunity to pet, feed and interact with baby farm animals, including goats, lambs, pigs, chicks, ducks, rabbits and calves.
In addition, there will be a variety of outdoor activities, including bounce houses, a tractor cart ride, yard games, face painting, food trucks and agricultural education experiences for kids.
Danika Johnson, Bastian Agricultural Center event manager, said the animals, food and fun activities for all ages provide the perfect way for families to spend a day together.
“Those who visit will have a chance to pet, feed and hold some of the animals,” she said. “Our staff will be on hand to ensure that it is a fun, engaging and educational experience for all. We can’t wait to share the magic with our community.”
Josh Dallin, Bastian Agricultural Center executive director, said Baby Animal Adventures is a unique opportunity for families to experience agriculture up close.
“This event helps us fulfill our center’s mission by providing hands-on, experiential learning that brings agricultural education to life in a fun and memorable way,” he said.
Baby Animal Adventures will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bastian Agricultural Center, 2100 West and 11400 South, South Jordan. Tickets are $11 for ages 3 and older, free for children up to 2 years old, and $50 for a family pass of five people. To purchase tickets, visit the Bastian Agricultural Center website or purchase at the gate with a card.
