UTAH STATE at LOUISIANA TECH
Saturday, Nov. 15, 12:30 (MT)
Joe Aillet Stadium (30,600) - Ruston, La
QUICKLY — In its road finale, Utah State (2-8, 2-4 WAC) will make its longest road trip of the season, traveling 1,695 miles to Ruston, La., to tangle with Louisiana Tech (5-4, 3-2 WAC) on Saturday, Nov. 15. Kickoff from LTU's Joe Aillet Stadium (30,600) is slated for 12:30 p.m. (MT).
FREQUENT FLIER MILEAGE — Here's a slight comparison to just how far USU's trip is this week: The combined distance of 1,675 of the Aggies' previous two longest trips (847 to San Jose, Calif. + 828 to Eugene, Ore.) is 20 miles shorter than the trip from Logan to Ruston. USU's one-way combined total of 3,066 miles (503 to Las Vegas, Nev./828 to Eugene, Ore./847 to San Jose, Calif./597 to Reno, Nev./291 to Boise, Idaho) is 324 miles shorter than the round-trip total of 3,390 this week.
AGGIES' FB/VB DOUBLE DIP WITH BULLDOGS — Utah State will take on Louisiana Tech in both football and volleyball on Saturday in Ruston, La., as the Aggie spikers tangle with the Lady Techsters Saturday night at 6 p.m. (MT) at LTU's Thomas Assembly Center. This marks the third time that the football Aggies have played the same foe as the volleyball Aggies on the same weekend, joining Utah (VB on Sept. 12/FB on Sept. 13) and Hawai'i (both FB and VB on Nov. 1), but the first that both are the visiting teams, as the previous two volleyball was on the road while football hosted the opposition. The Utah State football and soccer teams will faced the same opponent the same week as the Aggie soccer team three times this season, most recently this past weekend when the USU soccer team beat Boise State in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament on Friday [Nov. 7, 2008], followed by the football teams facing each other on Saturday. The USU football and soccer teams also played Utah (SOC Sept. 12/FB Sept. 13) and Nevada (SOC Oct. 17/FB Oct. 18) in the same week.
NO TV — Saturday's battle between the Bulldogs and the Aggies will not be televised.
