Bridger Folk Music Society Concludes 2007 Season on USU Campus

The Bridger Folk Music Society has a long history presenting concerts on the Utah State University campus. The organization concludes its 2006-07 concert season with an appearance by Los Angeles-based blues artist Janiva Magness and her band Friday, May 18. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Utah State University’s Eccles Conference Center Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 in advance for the public and $12 for students with ID and are available in downtown Logan at Maya’s Corner, Citrus and Sage Gifts, Sunrise Cyclery and Import Auto and on campus at the USU Ticket Office in the Smith Spectrum. Tickets are $14 at the door.

Magness is among today’s most recognized blues vocalists. Billboard Magazine said she carves a niche by singing the blues with maturity and sophistication, and Singer Magazine said her voice is sultry, smoky and strong.
