Broadway, Here We Come!

Utah State University’s Department of Music presents Broadway Bound, a night of show tunes, Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Logan LDS Tabernacle.

“This concert is a wonderful opportunity for USU’s students to showcase their talents,” said Michael Huff, director of special programs in the Caine College of the Arts.

Out of the Blue, USU’s pop music ensemble, the University Chorale and the USU Women’s Choir will present a varied program of show tunes, including songs from Footloose, Camelot, Wicked, Hairspray, Rock of Ages and Mary Poppins.

Out of the Blue is the CCA professional touring music ensemble that includes 16 students. The Women’s Choir is a non-auditioned group open to women across campus. The choir performs works composed in the last 500 years and focuses on a western art tradition.

The University Chorale is known for highly-musical performances of choral works in a wide variety of languages and styles. The group is audition-based and is comprised of 100 students from a variety of academic studies as it is open to any student on campus.

Broadway Bound will be performed at the Logan Tabernacle, located at 50 N. Main Street in downtown Logan Friday, April 19. This performance is free and open to the public.
