Brosky and Dance Promoted On Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball head coach Raegan Pebley has named George Brosky interim assistant coach it was announced Wednesday [Oct. 13]. Brosky, who joined the women's basketball program on August 30, 2004 as director of basketball operations, will step into the third assistant spot, while former third assistant, Bradley Dance, will be promoted to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former assistant coach, John Bartleson.

 

"George brings a lot of coaching and player development experience to our program," Pebley said. "His ability to help us offensively is going to be a great addition to the whole team. I am also thrilled to continue to have the excitement and expertise that Bradley brings to the staff day in and day out."

 

A native of Allentown, Pa., Brosky spent last year as the assistant coach for the boy's varsity team at Centennial High School in Corona, Calif.

 

Prior to his stint at CHS, Brosky was an assistant men's coach at Division-III University of Redlands (Calif.) for two years during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. While at UR, he earned his master's degree in education administration.

 

Brosky began his coaching career at Haverford College (Pa.) where he was an assistant for the Fords' men's basketball program from 1999-2001.

 

"I'm excited for the opportunity to work with the coaching staff on a daily basis," Brosky said. "I hope to add to the program and to be a valuable asset where ever I can."

 

Brosky earned a bachelor's degree in finance from West Chester College (Pa.) and in addition to his coaching duties, is currently working on a second master's degree in exercise science.

 

Utah State's women's basketball team opens practice on Saturday, Oct. 16, at noon. The Aggies' first exhibition game will be against Metro State on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
