Cache Valley Matriarch Merle Olsen Dies

At the age of 94, Merle Olsen died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Logan Regional Hospital. Many of her family were by her side. While she was well known as the mother of Merlin and Phil Olsen — two football All-Americans at Utah State University — many others in the community remember her as a teacher, friend and caregiver.
