Communication is Key

Parents of children with autism often have a hard time carrying on a conversation with their children. USU researchers are training parents to teach young children with autism how to initiate a conversation. Introducing written scripts related to objects and situations the autistic child is interested can spark or allow a child to continue a conversation.
