Do Not Disturb

USU wildlife biologist Mike Wolfe knows there are at least two good reasons to tread lightly in abandoned mines: bats and TNT. Wolfe says waking hibernating bats at the wrong time can cause the animals to starve. Leftover dynamite, which can be set off by mere vibrations, poses an additional hazard.
