BLANDING, Utah — Utah State University has announced Donna Blake, the director of operations at USU Blanding, will become interim associate vice president for the Blanding campus.

“Donna has dedicated 18 years to the campus, and over the past six years, she’s been an essential part of shaping a vision for the campus and helping it grow,” said Kristian Olsen, vice president for statewide residential campuses.

Blake has extensive experience on the Blanding campus, serving in multiple roles including business officer, financial officer, and director of operations. She has worked closely with faculty and staff over the years to improve efficiency and solve problems while overseeing campus retreats. She was instrumental in the building of the new Monument Valley Education Building.

Olsen, who previously served as associate vice president for the Blanding campus before recently being appointed vice president for statewide residential campuses, called Blake a student advocate with strong community ties, adding: “she leads with heart, purpose, and a deep commitment to students, faculty, and staff. Donna’s experience, insight, and steady leadership make her the right person to guide Blanding campus into its next chapter. Please join me in congratulating her on this well-earned opportunity.”
