First-Place Aggies Host Second-Place Nevada in Key WAC Matchup Thursday
Utah State (19-1, 7-0) will continue Western Athletic Conference play this week as it hosts Nevada (12-7, 5-1) Thursday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m., and then plays at Fresno State (8-12, 1-5) Saturday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. (MT). USU's game against the Wolf Pack will be carried on ESPN360.com and be part of the ESPN Full Court package.
Stew Morrill TO COACH 700TH CAREER GAME THURSDAY NIGHT
Utah State head coach Stew Morrill will coach his 700th career game Thursday night against Nevada. Morrill is 474-225 (.678) in 23 seasons as a collegiate head coach. He is in his 11th year at USU and is the school's winningest coach with a 256-87 (.746) record.
Utah State will be looking for its 20th win of the season Thursday night against Nevada. Under head coach Stew Morrill, USU is 9-4 when attempting to win its 20th game of the season, while USU is 23-12 all-time.
Utah State basketball games are broadcast on KVNU (610 AM) and KLZX (95.9 FM) in Logan, Utah, KFAN (1320 AM) or ESPN Radio (1230 AM) in Salt Lake City and KLZX (105.3 FM) in Montpelier, Idaho, as well as on the internet at www.UtahStateAggies.com. Al Lewis serves as the play-by-play announcer while Rod Tueller serves as the analyst during home games.
