Helping Hands

USU’s Assistive Technology Lab is providing disabled people affordable, used wheelchairs and other assistive devices. The lab salvages and refurbishes old and worn out equipment and over the past three years, 30 recycled wheelchairs have been provided to those who cannot afford a new device.

For more information about donating equipment and types of equipment accepted, contact the AT Lab or the Utah Assistive Technology Program at 435-797-0699 or 800-524-5152. Sunshine Terrace Assisted Living Center and Standers Inc. have donated used equipment to USU’s Assistive Technology Lab.
