Make a Joyful Noise

Utah State University choirs present their final concert of the year, “Make a Joyful Noise,” on Thursday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Caine Performance Hall.

“Make a Joyful Noise” will feature a variety of choral favorites, including selections from Morten Lauridsen’s Madrigali and Dirait-on, Mack Wilberg’s Dances to Life and a tribute to the music of George Gershwin.

“Don’t miss a unique multimedia presentation of Michael McGlynn’s Media Vita,” Cory Evans, director of the choral program and professor in the Caine College of the Arts (CCA) said. “The presentation includes an interactive performance featuring the combined choirs and audio/video soundscape. The evening will end with a spirited version of Joseph Joubert’s gospel hit, How Excellent is Thy Name.”

It will be an eclectic evening of great choral music that’s not to be missed, Evans said.

Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors and youth, $5 USU faculty/staff and free for USU students with ID. For more information, visit the CCA Box Office in room L101 of the Chase Fine Arts Center on USU’s campus, call 435-797-8022 or go online to arts.usu.edu today.
