Minimum Wage Information

One May 25, President Bush signed a spending bill that, among other things, amended the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) to increase the federal minimum wage in three steps. The first increase, to $5.85 per hour, becomes effective July 24, 2007. The minimum wage increases to $6.55 an hour effective July 24, 2008. The final increase to $7.25 an hour becomes effective July 24, 2009.

At Utah State University, departments may contact the office of Human Resources with questions. Both the Student Employment office and Human Resources will double-check the EPAFs to make sure the amounts are at or above those listed.
