Naming Ceremony for Utah State Athletics Equipment Room Postponed

Utah State University's Athletics Department announced Wednesday [April 21] that it has postponed a naming ceremony for its equipment room that was scheduled for Saturday, April 24, at 1 p.m., inside the Jim and Carol Laub Athletics-Academics Complex.

 

The unveiling of the J. Ken "Kenny" Seamons Equipment Room will now take place sometime next fall.

 

Seamons, who served as Utah State's head equipment manager from 1966 to 1992, has had some health issues and is not able to attend the ceremony originally scheduled for this weekend.

 

Despite the postponement of one event, Utah State fans will still have plenty of viewing options this weekend.

 

USU's softball team will conclude its three-game Western Athletic Conference series with San Jose State at 11:30 a.m. at LaRee and LeGrand Johnson Field, followed by the HURD's football scrimmage at 12:30 p.m. at Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium. USU's football team will then conclude its spring camp with the Blue-White Spring Game at 2 p.m., followed by an autograph session.

 

The USU Ticket Office will be open at the South Ticket Office at Romney Stadium from 12:30 - 4 p.m. for Aggie football season ticket renewals, as well as taking new orders.
