New Era: Utah State Announces Jim Laub Family Stadium

LOGAN, Utah — A new era is coming to Utah State University, as the home of Aggie football will become Jim Laub Family Stadium on Jan. 1, 2027, honoring Jim and Carol Laub and their decades of extraordinary commitment to Utah State and Aggie Athletics.

The naming recognizes the Laubs' longstanding support of Utah State Athletics and their continued investment in the university's future. Their support has helped advance Aggie Athletics through multiple conference affiliations and major periods of growth, including Utah State's move to the Pac-12 on July 1.

"Jim and Carol have been instrumental in supporting Utah State throughout the years and have a clear vision for where Aggie Athletics can go, while helping our university make an impact on the national stage," said Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker. "Their unwavering loyalty, leadership and investment have been critical to the success and growth of the athletics department. This is a fitting tribute to all they have done, continue to do and will do for the future of Aggie Athletics."

The Laubs' impact on Utah State can be seen throughout campus and across Aggie Athletics. Jim and Carol have made significant investments in facility projects, including the Stan Laub Indoor Facility, Jim & Carol Laub Athletics-Academics Complex and Wayne Estes Center. Jim was also instrumental in the construction of the Chuck & Gloria Bell Soccer Field and has supported renovations to the football stadium and Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

"Jim and Carol Laub represent what it means to be Aggies. Their generosity, leadership and commitment have made a lasting difference at Utah State and throughout Cache Valley," said President Brad Mortensen. "Their impact extends far beyond athletics, and having their name on this stadium is a meaningful recognition of the many ways they have invested in people, strengthened this university and made our community a better place."

Their dedication to Utah State extends beyond athletics. Jim has been a member of USU's Old Main Society since 1987 and is a member of the athletics department's Blue A Society.

A 1974 graduate of Utah State University, Jim was selected to the Utah State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013. He received USU's Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2004, the Spirit of Old Main Award in 2006 and an honorary doctorate in business and entrepreneurship from Utah State in 2007.

Jim was also presented the Contribution to Amateur Football Award by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Utah Chapter in 2013.

The naming of Jim Laub Family Stadium represents a lasting recognition of the Laub family's commitment to Utah State and their belief in the university, its student-athletes and the future of Aggie Athletics.

The Laub family extends beyond Jim and Carol to include Eric and Tatum Laub, and Mark, Renee and Lawson Laub.
