Prepare For Travels at the Passport Fair
For Utah State University students who are traveling north to Canada or south to Mexico, the USU’s Distribution Center and the Taggart Student Center post office are sponsoring a Passport Fair.
Due to new travel regulations, U.S. citizens flying to Mexico or Canada now need a passport. Students, faculty and staff will be able to apply for a passport at the Passport Fair Wednesday, March 21, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center, near the post office.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone to get all of their passport needs taken care of in one place,” said Richard Boudrero, manager of the Utah State University distribution center and post office. “The fair is designed to make obtaining a passport as easy and convenient as possible.”
Participants should bring valid proof of U.S. citizenship or naturalization, such as a state issued birth certificate. Students must also bring a valid state or government photo ID and two checks or money orders.
The cost for a passport that arrives in 8-10 weeks is $97. A passport that is issued in 2-4 weeks is $185.80.
