President Mortensen to Tour Statewide Campuses, Meet with Stakeholders

USU President Brad Mortensen will be touring several Statewide Campuses, starting on January 12. He will hold town halls and other meetings to engage with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
LOGAN, Utah — Utah State University President Brad Mortensen is hitting the road to visit multiple locations across the state.
Mortensen will embark on a tour of various USU Statewide Campuses, familiarizing himself with local leaders and community members as well as students, faculty and staff.
“I am looking forward to engaging with our students, faculty, staff and community members,” Mortensen said. “Utah State has such a unique structure in how we fulfill our land-grant mission. I can’t wait to hop on the bus and get to know all of these areas better as we look to meet and adapt to needs of the communities we serve.”
The tour will begin on Monday, January 12, with Mortensen visiting the USU campuses in Brigham City, Tooele, and Salt Lake. The next day he will tour the campuses in Vernal and Roosevelt. On Wednesday, January 14, he will tour the USU campuses in Moab and Blanding. The tour will conclude on January 15, with Mortensen visiting the USU Eastern campus in Price.
In all these areas, Mortensen will hold Town Halls to engage with local students and stakeholders. He will also embark on campus tours and will be on hand for the ribbon cutting of the airport hangar in Price.
Following the statewide tour, the USU Board of Trustees will host a presidential inauguration celebration for Mortensen on January 16 at 3 p.m. in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall. Doors will open at 2:15 p.m. The event will also be broadcast live on Aggie Cast.

January 13
- Vernal Town Hall at 8:15 a.m.

- Blanding Town Hall at 3:45 p.m.
January 15
- USU Eastern Town Hall at 9 a.m.
- Airplane Hanger Ribbon Cutting at 11 a.m.
January 16
- Presidential Inauguration Celebration at 3 p.m.
