Registration Still Open for Utah State Soccer Camp

Utah State’s [University] soccer program announced that registration is still open for the 2012 Aggie Soccer Camp, to be offered to a wide range of ages, all on the Utah State University campus in the month of July. The three clinics run July 14-July 19.

Under the direction of USU women’s soccer head coach Heather Cairns, who led the Aggies to their first NCAA appearance in 2011, the Aggie Soccer Camp strives to help each player improve skills, tactics and gain confidence on and off the field. Cairns is assisted by her USU staff, including assistant coach Trevor Wachsman and undergraduate assistant coach Molli Merrill. In addition, current and former Aggie players will be on campus to help campers reach their ultimate potential.

The first of the three camps is the College ID/Goalkeepers Camp which is designed to challenge players in competitive environment. Camp topics include tactical and technical training, with specific training for goalkeepers. Camp participants will also have the opportunity to learn about what it takes to be successful as a college soccer student-athlete. The College ID/Goalkeeper Camp is July 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for girls 14-18 years old. This camp is $55 for early registration until July 1 and $70 after that date.

The Aggie Camp, which is a co-ed camp for kids ages 8-14 years old, is July 17-19 from 7-8:30 p.m. and offers a great value for all levels of skill. Coach Cairns and her Division I staff will guide the campers through the drills and skills that they need to be competitive on the soccer field. Early registration is $45 until July 1 and $60 after July 1.

Lil' Aggie Camp offers a great atmosphere for young players. This is a coed camp open to all kids 4-7 years old. All the coaches will guide the campers through the basics and fundamentals, giving them a great head start. Campers will learn the “FUN”damentals of soccer. This camp runs July 17-19 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Early registration for the Lil' Aggie Camp is $45 until July 1 and $60 after that date.
