Soccer Signs Goodrich Sisters To Letters Of Intent

The Goodrich sisters helped Dixie State College capture the junior college national championship last season

Utah State head soccer coach Heather Cairnsannounced recently the signing of two players to national letters of intent to compete for the Aggies in the 2004 season. The future Utah State student athletes are twin sisters, Laura and Megan Goodrich, of Salt Lake City.

The Goodrich sisters transfer to Utah State from Dixie State College, where they played for the junior college national championship team in 2003 and the third-place team in 2002.

Laura, a forward, scored seven goals and distributed 12 assists last season, while Megan played in the midfield and found the back of the net eight times to go along with four assists.

"Megan and Laura proved last year they know how to win a championship and that is what we are striving to accomplish here at USU," Cairns said. "They are both tremendous athletes and will add speed and creativity in our attack."
