Statement on Arrest

Updated Sept. 29, 2025, to address speculation about Tyler Robinson’s short time at USU.

Tyler Robinson attended the Logan campus briefly for one semester in fall 2021, was a pre-engineering major, and took classes consistent with that major, after which he took a leave of absence.

Due to unfounded misinformation circulating online, USU is offering the following statement on Tyler Robinson’s time at the university. He was not involved with the Center for Anticipatory Intelligence, did not have contact with CAI faculty, and did not attend any CAI activities.
