NCAA NORTH CENTRAL REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ON TAP — Utah State [University] gymnastics will send three individual student-athletes to the 2010 NCAA North Central Regional Championships Saturday, April 10, at Salt Lake City, Utah, hosted by the University of Utah. Action gets underway at 6 p.m. (MT) at UU's Jon M. Huntsman Center (15,000). Free live results and live video will be available.

Senior Heather Heinrich and junior Lyndsie Boone will compete in the all-around, while junior Jackie Dillon will be in action on bars. USU's three individuals will join teams from Auburn, WAC foe Boise State, Denver, Florida, Washington and host Utah, along with individual gymnasts from Air Force, Wisconsin-La Crosse and Wisconsin-Stout.

This is Boone's third regional trip after qualifying on beam as a freshman in 2008 and in the all-around last season as a sophomore. It is Heinrich's second regional appearance after qualifying in 2008 in the all-around her sophomore season. Dillon will also be making her second regional trip, after also qualifying on vault last year.

Utah State ended team competition at the Western Athletic Conference Championships at Fullerton, Calif., March 27, placing third and matching the Aggies' best WAC finish ever, equaling the third-place finish in 2007. USU is ranked No. 54 in this week's rankings and only the top 36 teams advance to the NCAA Regionals. This is the third year in a row and fourth in last five that USU did not qualify for regionals as a team, but the Aggies have sent at least three individuals in each of the last three years.
